Le Groupe Maurice supports the Sainte-Justine Triathlon
Third time’s a charm! On February 21st, the nineteenth Sainte-Justine Triathlon kicked off, with Le Groupe Maurice participating for the third time. Let’s take a look back at this amazing winter event that drew in crowds for a great cause.

The Sainte-Justine Winter Triathlon has become a beloved Montreal tradition, combining sports and charity. Organized by CHU Sainte-Justine since 2006, this event brings together skaters, skiers and runners in a collective effort to support sick children and their families.
This year, Le Groupe Maurice’s two teams geared up again, grabbing their tuques, skates, shoes and skis to raise money and compete for the coveted Pierre-Boivin Trophy.
Overall, the Sainte-Justine Triathlon is more than just a competition. It represents values that align with Le Groupe Maurice’s own: collaboration, conviction and kindness towards past, present and future generations. And the company’s participation in the triathlon demonstrates its desire to give back to the community while promoting cohesion among its team members.
Stronger together, at the Sainte-Justine Triathlon
In terms of togetherness, it’s safe to say that the event was a success. About 400 people gathered at parc Maisonneuve that day to engage in a friendly competition, enjoying a festive atmosphere on a beautiful winter day.
Events like the Sainte-Justine Triathlon make a real difference in advancing research. The World Health Organization (WHO) notes that community engagement is becoming an essential part of scientific progress. Crowdfunding initiatives bring people together, drive innovation, build stronger local connections and improve health research.
Thanks to the Sainte-Justine Triathlon, an impressive $810,423 was raised to aid programs, improve treatments and help support families through challenging times. Le Groupe Maurice also achieved its goal, donating $12,710 to this amazing success story.
This impressive total is thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved. Key contributors include Le Groupe Maurice, which fully sponsored the $2,500 team registration fees, individual donors and the Luc Maurice Foundation’s donation matching program–which doubled the impact of individual contributions.
As we wrap up this unforgettable day, it’s clear that the Sainte-Justine Winter Triathlon achieved something truly special. By pushing beyond our physical limits, we also tapped into the power of compassion and community. This philanthropic event shows that solidarity is more relevant than ever and that we must keep working together to support those who need it most.
